Wanted: Medical doctors, nurses, medical workers and craftspersons for humanitarian aid assignments in Sri Lanka and Cameroon

We are looking for medical doctors, qualified nurses and medical workers (medical laboratory technicians, radiological technologists, physiotherapists) willing to volunteer for aid assignments of a minimum of three weeks in Sri Lanka and/or English-speaking Cameroon.

Please let us know at what times you can be available. You may of course indicate more than one period. If you do, then please specify the best dates for you in order of preference.


Humanitäre Hilfe e.V. and / or partners will provise the following services:

• outbound and return flight (must be booked through Humanitaere Hilfe for reasons of security!)
  
• Visa, work permit
• Vaccination - prophylaxis of infection
  • Typhoid fever (Sri Lanka)
  • Yellow fever (Cameroon)
  • Malaria
• Transport during the assignment
• Accommodation, food
• Professional malpractice insurance abroad (if required)
• Bonus: Return home when you wish
  (stay for vacation in Sri Lanka, Maldives, Afrika)
  
  

The participants are expected to pay their own expenses during the aid assignment. However, Humanitäre Hilfe e.V. is willing to contribute to the costs if the financial situation of a participant should warrant subsidies.

Requirements:

• full professional training to be a
  
  • medical doctor, specialist doctor
    
  • health care or medical care person
    
  • medical laboratory technician
    
  • others as required (e.g. craftspersons for Cameroon)
    
• life history in tabular form
  
• Certificate of qualification
  (such as license to practise medicine, examination certificate)
  
• Certificate of additional qualification(s)
  (specialist examination certificate, certificate of further special training or special skills)
  
• At least basic knowledge of English
  
• Minimum duration of assignment 3 weeks (during your personal vacation)
  
• Passport (valid a minimum of 6 months beyond the end of assignment)
  
• Medical insurance, valid abroad
  
• Vaccination - prophylaxis of infection
  
  • Hepatitis A and B (is your vaccination satisfactory?)
  • Tetanus (is your vaccination satisfactory?)
    
  • Poliomyelitis (is your vaccination satisfactory?)
    
• Transfer from your residence to airport in Germany and back home
